Dear Community Members,
The following guidelines are provided by the local authorities in the event of, God forbid, any death occurs in the community. These guidelines are subject to change without any prior notice. ISCN has no control over it. We all MUST adhere to the following guidelines:
Non COVID-19 Death
In case of non-COVID-19 death in the community.
MORTUARY
In addition to the one ISCN representative, only three people are allowed to perform a Ghusul.
Everyone required to wear proper gears while performing the Ghusul; no exceptions.
The viewing is allowed to maximum of six family members.
The Janaza prayer can be performed in viewing area by following guidelines of social distancing and by staying six feet apart.
Family can decide who can lead the prayer amongst them unless they ask ISCN representative to lead the prayer.
Once prayer is offered, the body will be taken to Cemetery.
CEMETERY
Up to ten people will be allowed in the cemetery along with one ISCN representative, three cemetery workers, and six family members. Only six people will carry the body to the grave.
The gates will be closed for everyone else.
Only one person along with Br. Aazmi will be allowed in the grave for burial.
Family must follow the rules of Cemetery. Authorities will be called in by Cemetery officials if anyone fails to follow.
COVID-19 Death
In case of COVID-19 death in the community.
HOSPITAL
The body will be wrapped into double plastic protective bag maybe designed for COVID victims by hospital staff.
There won’t be any viewing allowed of any kind and anywhere.
The body will be directly taken to the Cemetery.
CEMETERY
The Janaza prayer will be performed in Cemetery by following guidelines of social distancing and by staying six feet apart.
Family can decide who can lead the prayer amongst them unless they ask ISCN representative to lead the prayer.
Only one family member will be allowed in the cemetery along with one ISCN representative, and three cemetery workers. These people will carry the body to the grave.
We may be allowed to spray the body bag from a distance.
No Kaffan or Tayyamum will be allowed.
No one from family will be allowed to bury the body.
Once burial is completed, family member will be asked to leave before Cemetery workers close the grave.
Family must follow the rules of Cemetery. Authorities will be called in by Cemetery officials if anyone fails to follow.
We all understand that the emotions will be high. However, during this tough time and the safety of everyone, we must take tough measures. JazakAllahu Khairan
